CPTC LibGuides
LibGuides are webpages compiled by your friendly librarians to assist you in research. LibGuides provide resources for specific programs, courses, and general topics. There are also LibGuides to help aid you in using the library and it's information resources.
LibGuides encourage collaboration between librarians and faculty in order to meet the research needs of a particular department, class, or assignment.
You can link to our LibGuides from your course Blackboard pages by adding them as a web link.
Faculty can also integrate library databases found within the LibGuides directly into your Blackboard course.

Library Resources
- GALILEO ScholarGALILEO stands for GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online, an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. GALILEO is an online library portal to authoritative, subscription-only information that isn’t available through free search engines or Web directories. Participating institutions may access over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. Over 10,000 journal titles are provided in full-text. Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories, and government publications.
- CredoReferenceCredo Reference features authoritative, aggregated content from over 150 reference books and 35 publishers, with 1.7 million entries covering such subjects as medicine, art, technology and more.
- Films on DemandFilms on Demand consists of 7,000 video titles (77,000 segments) in Humanities & Social Sciences, Business & Economics, Health, and Science. Also included is the new collection of United Newsreels which includes an additional 260 titles (1,250 segments).
- ProQuest Ebook CentralFrom a single interface, researchers can access over 175,000 eBooks imprints from more than 650 publishers. Newly published titles are added each year from leading publishers to help libraries build dynamic collections that meet the unique needs of their community of researchers.
