Adult Education

CPTC's Adult Education program has classes designed to help you prepare to take the GED!

The program offers:

  • no cost instruction
  • free assessment of your skills
  • academic counseling and advisement
  • special reading instruction
  • computerized instruction in the classroom or online
  • day or evening classes

The GED (General Educational Development) exam is administered at official GED testing centers. It is NOT an online test. (Learn more about GED testing scams.) The GED exam has four test subjects:

  1. Reasoning Through Language Arts
  2. Mathematical Reasoning: Quantitative and Algebraic 
  3. Science
  4. Social Studies
