Email Communication

CPTC Instructors communicate with students through CPTC student email. You will receive your first email on the first day of class. It's important to check your student email.

Find Your Email Address

  1. Log in to BannerWeb.
  2. Click on Personal Information
  3. Click on View Email Addresses
  4. Your CPTC email address should be listed as the preferred email address.

Access Your Email Account

Username (I.D.)

  1. Go to the Office 365 page ( OR click on the student email link on the BannerWeb page.
  2. In the ID box, enter your CPTC email address.


  • New Students: Enter Cptc and your six-digit birthdate (Example: Enter Cptc040188 for April 1, 1988)
  • Returning Students: Ask a librarian for help resetting your password.

If you successfully log in, you will be prompted to create a new password.

New Password

The password you create must have at least 8 characters and meet three out of the following four requirements:

  • One capital letter
  • One lowercase letter
  • One number
  • One special character (@ # $ %)



Email Troubleshoot

Are you currently enrolled at CPTC?

  • If not, you may not have an email address. Check in Student Affairs.

Are you sure the email address you're using is correct?

  • Check in BannerWeb. Login and check in Personal Information to find your CPTC email address.

Your email address should include:

  • First initial
  • Last name (some have a number after the last name)

Is your password correct? Forgot your password?

  • You can request a Password Reset using the online form (which can take up to 24 hours), or by asking a librarian (which usually can be done as you wait). Be sure to log in on a campus computer first. Your new password may not work the first time on your personal computer or device.
